I gotta say JE if you have the funds. Something a little less expensive go with Srp or Arias.

JE or Wiseco Pistons are great pistons to use! Mated to some Eagle/Crower Rods and you will have a pretty strong block!

eagle rods suck. they are an over seas made rod that is finsihed here in the us. Thats why they are half the price of crowers...if you put a rod in, crower, pauter or cunningham

If you can afford them, go for JE pistons and CROWER rods. If you are looking to save some cash, go for Eagle rods and WISECO pistons. You might consider running a compression like 9:1 instead of 9.5:1 for turbo. Check out endyn's site at www.theoldone.com . However, if you are looking at boosting 15psi with JUST pistons and rods, well i have a feeling you are gonna be tearing your motor back apart to replace the sleeves. Stock cylinder walls cant endure that much pressure, yes sometimes people fine tune the hell out of their engines and get away with this once in a blue moon, but be safe and do it right the first time. Resleeve your block with iron-ductile sleeves, such as darton's. Golden eagle has some nice ones also. And im sure you know, with 15psi you should have a nice fuel management unit as well as upgraded injectors, etc. etc.

Yeah, I've only heard good about them! Especially for the price! Any info or stories to back your claims up?

False advertisement of an an american made rod which is only half true. I have not seen them break in the honda world but on the domestic side. I have seen them come out bad on a ford v8

There are different types of Rod designs. I-beam, H-beam, and X-beam. Crower is I-beam, endyn/eagle are H-Beam. Crower also has an H-beam design known as the econo billet. I have read articles stating one design is better then the other, I chose to go with the Steel billet I-beam design by crower. I did an engineering paper on this last semester and there are pro's and con's to each design. I wish i could find the paper, but i know the manufacturing processes for eagle and crower are similar. However, crower is known to be a stronger rod due to the I-beam design, it allows the rod to withstand greater pressure levels which mean more horsepower. Eagles are known to be good for engines exceeding 500+hp, crower is known for 800+. It is all a matter of preference really. One thing that should really answer your question as to which rod to purchase is the fact that for every one pair of crower steel billet rods you can purchase 2 sets of eagle/endyne rods. You get what you pay for, the choice is up to you. I believe both companies produce high quality products, and its proven over and over again in the 600+hp cars. Its all about preference. http://www.crower.com and http://www.theoldone.com for more info.

Actually ... Eagle rods are made in China, and finished in the US.
They're fine for their target price, and HP Range. Good budget rod.

Crower, Cunningham, and all the other big / old school forged or billet rods
are also good.

There are cheap rods out there, and expensive rods out there. The expensive rods usually live in $20,000 - $100,000+ motors, depending on their needs. Not everyone needs $2000ea rods for a 1300hp motor ... or pushes 60psi out of a supercharged top-fuel rail dragster ... but its nice to know your 15-20psi boosted civic wont blow up in the burnout box when you forget to plug in your limiter and over-rev

yeah...I will rephrase what I said about them sucking. It just seems like everyone jumps on the band wagon and finds a brand and goes with it with no erperience. Yeah, I guess they are a good rod for their price. I just dont like the fact that they start out over seas and are said to be an american made product. It just seems like everyone just uses the names that they hear and says they are the best. The funny thing is, the original question was what kind of pistons to use. I think thats why I had the reply on the rod thing. Thats how I got the band wagon comment too.

I totally agree JE pistons and Crower rods. Also a wise man once told me if you gonna boost you must resleeve, I also recommend 9-1 ratio.
