Turbo oil question
what affects would it have on a turbo if it was not primed with oil before initial startup?? this may have possibly happened to my friends car but im not sure...dont know what the shop did to it
also...any solutions as to why the wheel wont spin and build boost?? my friend needs some help here....thanks

After a turbo install.. if you do not crank it over a few times to run oil thru all the feed lines, your turbo will be dry when u start the car up for the first time after installing a turbo. I'm not sure if these few seconds of dryness in the turbo would cause any serious damage, but I primed mine just to be safe.
Like RockMan said, have u tried spinning the wheel be hand? It should spin very smoothly if there's oil in the cartridge. If there's no oil, then there should be some slight drag. Like if you tried to spin it by hand, it would spin for a very short time and stop. Of course, you should be trying this with the car off.
