You shouldnt have to touch the IACV...i dont recall ever having to mess with mine. All you need is a conversion harness and the new ECU

my car is idling like a heartbeat.... i need to convert mine from a 3 wire iacv to a 2 wire iacv so the obd1 ecu can recognize it.

i dont know of an easy way to wire the 3 wire iacv, BUT if you do a y8 manifold conversion, you can use the iacv on the on the y8 mani (which is a 2 wire)

plus youll benefit from the y8 mani over the y7.

someone else chime in if you can interchange the y7 iacv with the y8 (manual iacv ) as a y8 auto is a 3 wire also.

Y7 and Y8 Auto are interchangable, 3 wire IACVs

Y8 manual has the 2 wire, this is what you'll need to go obd1.
