Default turbo not spoolin??

i don't know if this is a bad turbo or not but i start up my car and the turbo isn't spooling unless you pull it up to about 5k rpm. just wondering if that's good or not.. and plus i hooked up my boost gauge and it shows only vacuum pressure even when i run my car up to 8k rpm. lmk what you guys think

Are you revving to 8K without the car under load? You must be under load for a Honda. Start driving the car and see if positive boost comes in under load.

on a honda u need to be under a load to build boost, your not going to build boost just sitting there and revving

when it's under load i'm not sure if it's the bov or the turbo whining, it's like a long whistle..when it's not under any load the turbo spools like at 6k, so i might just get a new manifold, turbo and downpipe setup if i can't find out the problem

you won't build boost without load, drive the car and check the boost that way.

Even at idle, a little T3 should spin when you blip the gas, right?

i was told that the turbo should spin even at idle. but i have driven it and i feel no gain at all, even my boost gauge was reading between -10 through -20 on vacuum...that's all i get.

pop the hood, blip the throttle, it should start to spin. If it doesn't, then there is possibly something wrong with the turbo, or an exhaust leak, or your wastegate is stuck open.

i figured out there was a crack in one of the silicon couplers..haha.. one problem fixed. next thing i saw the turbo was spinning on idle but the shaft is bent..pretty bad, so i'm definitely gonna have to replace the turbo.. any suggestions on what trim specs i should get... really looking for power ranging from 5k-redline lmk what you guys got.
