Turbo Noob.. Best Quality kit for a 97 Civic/GSR hybrid?
I have a 97 Civic, gsr motor and 00 si tranny. I have never owned a turbo before and am looking at various kits. I am looking for the best quality and most reliablity. I plan on only boosting to 8psi since this will be a daily driver and my bottom end is stock. I was planning on going with the revhard kit, until I saw how they treated my friend when he had problems. So I guess it's down to Fmax, Drag Greddy, XS anyone else I'm forgetting?

The DRAG kit or the Greddy kit are great kits for what your looking for. The DRAG kit has been around for a long time and looks pretty good.

I have same car and motor as you, right now I'm pieceing my kit together after researching out what I think is best for my application.
First question I ask is are you mechanically inclined? I just kept researching away until I found what I thought would be most reliable, good power setup. IF your not very mechanically inclined just buy one of those kits and be done with it. I personally don't like most of the kits because most come with shitty parts like crappy manifolds (although a lot of companies have gotten better at this) small piping, shitty oil feed/return lines, or sometimes piping you still have to cut and have welded still.
I found:
Manifold from Tinker219 on hondatech (he can make it many ways, log, full race etc....)
Turbo from Precision turbo or Cheapturbo.com (I went with cheap turbo t3/t4OE 57 trim .60a/r turbine .63 a/r compressor)
Oil Feed/Return from Flamenco-T on hondatech (he can custom setup if you like)
HONDATA
Piping from JC Whitney, got 1 24" U bend, 2 12" U bends, 1 90 Degree bend and have muffler shop cut/weld.
Intercooler from Tjn115 or auctioner1010 on ebay.
Piping Clamps/Couplings from RoadRaceengineering.com I got 2 1 foot couplings and cut them myself and about 12 t-bolt clamps.
Search out the rest on hondatech and ebay and save about $1000
