Turbo Newbie
hey guys, im tired of and feel guilty everytime i squeeze cause a lot of ppl say its cheating and it costs me like $4 everytime i do it (15 seconds). i have a 2000 hb cx with a lame d16y7 and i want to get a small turbo kit for my car, i think greddy. is one made for my car or do i need the one for the civic ex's d16y8? i want to run stock boost and dont want to spend money on parts for my current motor because i want to transfer the turbo (with exception to maybe the exhaust manifold and down pipe) to a b16 or b18 when i get a swap (a long time from now). like i said, i dont want to spend $ on the d16y7 so can i survive without an aftermarket ecu, air/fuel controller, larger injectors, aftermarket ignition system? I wouldnt mind getting an intercooler or better fuel pump tho because those can be used with my future B series motor. well the ignition could also but i dont want to mess with that. please leave some suggestions because i want to learn as much i can before i start working on this. also, do turbos with ceramic ball bearings require an oil line running into it? just wondering. sorry for the length but i need to know. thanks.
