turbo needs new bearings....what to do??

turbo needs new bearings....what to do??
ok my turbo was run dry for 85 miles (no boost) and now the shaft play has increased. It does not hit the sides of the housing while spinning, but if I move it myself they can touch........
I have seen new bearings for 30 bucks or so, do I need to have the whole turbo rebuilt. or if I get the bearings what else needs to be done?
I heard the center housing needs to be balanced afterward...let me know
