That is a standard Volvo T3 turbo .42/.48 I believe. I used to have one of these on my single cam. With a B16 it is too small in my opinion since the B series head flows so well. You would be better off with like a 50 or 57 trim t3/t4.

If you choose to run that turbo I had problems sealing up the little round part on the inlet of the exhaust housing. Now I have noticed that ATPTurbo.com has made an adapter to deal with it so check it out.

I would buy a turbo manifold from like peakboost or others on here and get a matching downpipe to fit your application unless you are a good fabricator and can fabricate your own downpipe. For charge piping get a cheap kit off of ebay and make it work.

Good luck with it.

thats a pretty old turbo my friend. and if its the common t3 .42/.48 people around here are probably gonna say dont use it because its on the small side.

no its not ball bearing, and I'm not too sure about the hp rating. 200-250 whp I'm thinking.

as nice as it was for ur cuzzo to get that for ya, its not exactly what ur motor needs. everyone has a different budget, but as said, ur better off w. a bigger turbo. this is the best saying to explain to people going turbo.

u can only pick 2 out of the 3

CHEAP
FAST
RELIABLE

A friend of mine had an ebay turbo and had no probs at all with it. So i bought one for 100 bucks off ebay too. Went to jaxville to get tuned by Mase, made it all the way there but found out i blew the seals within 1000 miles !

Now i have a different turbo that requires new downpipe, flange, the tow over there, time out of my schedule, etc/etc.

basically a major pain in the *** !! if i could do it all again i wish i woulda just did it right the first time as i read and read and read !!

my .02, itll prob give u more hassle than anything, and most likely after all ur hard earned money and effort is spent on the rest of the build you prob wouldnt be satisfied at all. good luck with your decision
