A Turbo mounted sideways..help!
Is it possible to mount a turbo sideways? Meaning the usual air filter end would be upwards toward the hood. I really don't see a reason why you couldn't but I'm not totally sure. Me have no space!
If I understand you correctly, the answer is NO... reason being that the oil will not drain back to the pan properly, since it relies on gravity alone to drain. The exception to this would be if you are using a turbo with self contained lubrication such as an Aerodyne.
I thought oil pressure would help to push out the oil out of the turbo center section and into the oil pan since it gets pressure from the back of the block via the oil pressure line.
The answer is no. Better get more creative so you can fit one in there. Why don't you post a picture of your engine bay so the turbo gurus and geniuses can look at it and give you some ideas.

I thought about that idea being that my motor doesn't lean back like normal H22's so I put extra oil in motor to compensate. What do those oil sump systems run? Where can I get one if the price isn't too high?
