which turbo for me???
well I have parted everything else together and still need help on choosing my turbo. It is between the sc34 or sc61. how much difference will it be for full boost? Ive read that the 61 makes full boost on b16's at5000- 5100 but what about on a b18c5? Would it be a liitle less or no? Will the sc61 be too much with this set up or just right? It will all be on stock internals. I am planning on running 12psi daily and 15psi for track. hp goal is around 325-350 for know until i rebuild bottom end. Im just worried about going to big on turbo. The car also will be daily driven. Thanx

throw out the idea that you have to limit yourself to 12psi. you say you want 325-350whp. Either turbo can do that. It might take a few more lb's to reach it with the sc34 but you will have a more useable powerband.

More dispacement= more exhaust gas= faster spool
That should answer your question about b16 versus b18 spool times.
If I had to guess the difference it would be 300-500 RPMs earlier with the 1.8L as comapred to the 1.6L
