ok so im piecing together a turbo kit and have been trying to find a legit company that makes the manifold that ss auto chrome "stole" the design for. i like the look of this manifold and have been trying to find the real version of it not the ebay version. anyone know who or where i can get this manifold? Or is this a made up design that only ssac has?
the manifold is one of the most important pieces in a turbo setup. dont cheap out on one or you'll end up spending more in the end or always having to get it repaired. which design is it you like and maybe we can help find something similar?

the one that is all over ebay that comes with the $700 kits. one similar to that would be great but if not thats ok too. i been thinking about the blox cast manifold aswell because the waste gate mounts in the middle. told that its the best place for it to be mounted on the manifold. definitly not trying to cheap out on any parts being this is my first turbo setup so trying to do it right way

Thats a pretty dumb statement. Those manifolds break just as often as the old style ones, and if you dont believe me, then you havent read the ssac threads. What about your manifold tells you its going to be stronger than an original design unit?

Not really...it looks like an Ebay version of a 57 or 60 trim with an E cover...that's not very big around here

^^^what he said. tons of companies make quality manifolds. just look in the sponsor forced induction forum. If your going for a basic setup, a blox style manifold will be perfect. All manifolds could and do break, so dont expect to never have a problem. Ebay manifolds have also works out for ALOT of people with PROPER BRACING. Most people will say never ever use the ebay mani's, but they have worked on plenty of setups.

Ive never understood the whole "Bracing the turbo" idea, to me it just says the manifold was made with less than quality material and that it was probably poorly put together. I see people running 42Rs, Borg s366 and other large frame turbos on quality manifolds (Full race, AFI, Neukin... ect) and almost all are unbraced... and rarely do you hear of a quality manifold cracking. Take it from me, i have had an ssac manifold and it cracked 10 times, (yes really 10 times!) i then switched to a SFP mani and it slightly cracked after a year or so, now i have an AFI topmount and 35r and it has not cracked (knock on wood), but just from the experiance ive had i would say if your going to spend loot on a turbo setup dont be a cheap bastard. Its almost always the ppl who are impatient and cheap that end up spending the most in the long run, and there cars are almost always down or stricken with some problems.
Just run a Blox log. They have good wastegate placement and they support over 350whp easily. It's not that big of a deal to change down the road if you want more power.
The design of the manifold your referring to is horrible. With the fake tial wg I could not keep boost below 18pds even though the wg was 8 pds. Even with a real tial (5 pound spring) The boost would not stay below 14 pounds. The wastegate placement on the manifold is just horrible and plus my ssac manifold cracked in a week and completly broke within 3000 miles along with there crappy turbo.
While im on this rant, I was looking through the marketplace and low and behold what do I find, Fu kin ssac crap. What is this doing on honda tech, I thought we stood against there Crap. I didnt listen to you guys and I wasted 800 bucks. Please Ban this pure horse crap on ht, PPLLEEAASSEE, Dont let this happen to other unsuspecting (not that I was unsuspecting because you guys told me I was just stupid so we should help the stupid people out too) people.
