What do you guys do on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to make sure everything with your turbo car is in order? What should i watch out for and what should I avoid?

I'm pretty new to the turbo world, but I check for ??shaft play??(dont know if thats what its called, but I know what I mean, which is enough), oil leaks, and look to see tht everything is tight and secure. Is there anything else I should look at??

about every other day i pop the hood check vacuum lines, fuel lines, make sure i'm not missing bolts
check oil, coolant. at least 91 octane(stupid california).. blablabla
i'm sort of over careful now, after my first run in with fried pistons (after 2 months )

while driving, always be listening to your car... and under WOT listen very carefully...
detonation, exhaust leaks, and unusual noises...
don't pull the "maybe if i floor it, it will go away" approach

just be careful on way hot days, especially in traffic

and practice common sense!

Definately lots of oil. My last trip to wal-mart I bought every 5 quart container of super tech 10w-30 they had. Walked out with about $85 worth of oil, and at $4.17 per 5 quart jug that is quite a bit.

yupp sounds good, and remember if something does go wrong the cheap way will always get you in the end!! So spend the $ now and dont have a huge headache in the end.

You can do what you choose, but this is what i usually do...

Change oil every 2k-2500 miles
Check oil level every other day or so
Check for any leaking fluids/oil or loose vacuum lines every every so often
Check spark plugs every weekend

and of course the things everyone else mentioned.
