Default Blown Turbo seals?

I have had my kit on my car for a little over 2 months now, The turbo is a used Garrett 57 trim off a revhard kit. When i got the turbo it had 5,000 miles on it the car it came off of never smoked or anything crazy like that. I put it on my car and ever so often it will just start smoking out of the exhaust when i am at a dead stop, if i start moving it stops but it doesnt do it all the time maybe once a week. I have the oil return bung on the oil pan in the correct location and it is angled as well. The only thing i can think is the return line itself, it is the blue hose from atpturbo.com, everyday i check it it has an oily film on the outside of it like the oil bleeds through or something. Anyone have a problem like this? Maybe the seals are going bad i dont really know.

my car did the same thing...i never figured out what it was. but im guessing every time i came to a stop all the oil will roll to the front and clog the return line . thats just what i think it was.

There is no shaft play and no oil in the intake piping. That is why i am having trouble figuring this out. Someon just told me that i may not have enough crankcase ventilation. I am running a greddy catch can that just routes to atmosphere, should i hook it to a vacuum source?

Interesting... I have a brand new block, and the same turbo as last year, and sometime it start smoking too. But my return line as a kink in it, so last night, I fix it and put a braided hose, so now i don't have any kink. I hope that the smoke stop now... I took my car this morning to go to job, and no smoke.
I will let it run on idle tonight on my driveway.

I have done everything but switch to a braided line, but mine does not have a kink in it. Everytime i think its fixed about 2 days later it smokes then it might be another week or two before it does it again. Damn its pissing me off. It cant be the motor comp. is 220-216-220-220. I think i am gonna try to run another vacuum line to my catch can and see if that works.

do you have an oil restrictor of any kind? maybe flooding your turbo, and being more noticeable now that has a little more wear

I dont think so, what exactly do you mean by restrictor? My setup is pretty much the same as all the others ive seen.

Having too much oil pressure can lead to blown turbo seals. The restrictor is to reduce the oil flow and pressure from the feed line.
