turbo kit installed, boost question?
i installed my revhard kit on my rebuilt motor. i want to see if the turbo's working but don't want to full throttle it since the motor's not broken in yet. i accelerate about 1/4-1/2 throttle and let the rpm's go up to about 4-5 k. my boost gauge climbs to about 0 psi and i hear the turbo spooling up but it dosen't boost. is this because i'm not putting enough load on the turbo for it to boost or do i have something hooked up wrong. i have the vac line going from the wastegate to the turbo, and one going from the bov to the intake manifold.

I f I were you I wouldnt mess around with it even though it seems a bit tempting I would just take it to a shop and double check it from an expert shop just to make sure that I dont blow anything. I wouldnt second guess on the wiring and last but not least make sure its properly tuned or else poof watch your investment go up in smoke . Let me know how everything goes wit the turbo bro I wanna see too . How much psi> im gonna be doin 7psi at the max on my stock h22a internals

I am pretty sure you need more than 1/4 throttle to create boost. I used to be able to go all the way to 6 or 7k without creating boost, simply but feathering the throttle, which is what it sounds like you are doing.

Try put it in 4th gear , so the turbo would have some load on it. give it just 1/2 the throttle and at 4k you should have already 2-3 psi of boost. If not check for problems it is not normal with a drag 3 turbo.
