Default turbo interchangablilty

bare with me please no flaming ok....
i am buying a turbo kit for my car and i was wondering if i wanted to upgrade or change the turbo are there restrictions on what i can put in there or can i put whatever turbo i want on the manifold thanks

sure as long it bolts up to the manifold and clears the motor.. you may also have issues w/ downpipe being positioned in a different way also

so other than manifold bolt upness(<---wow) and clearence, i can switch it out for whatever i want?

within reason.
in theory if you have a t-3 flange you can run any t-3 turbo combo t3t4, strait t3, etc.

I'd recommend a T3 compatible exhaust manifold if you want the greatest flexibility in choosing a turbocharger. This way you can retain the same charge pipes and downpipe when swapping turbos.

It's some of the non-T3 based stuff that comes with a T3 flange that gets a bit wierd.

or the variations of the t3 flange (chryslers offset flange bolt)
