turbo identification question!!!
i have a turbo off a 280z from the early 80s it has a t3 exhaust flange, i know it has a .63 ar turbine side but i cannot find out how big the compressor side is, im trying to find a compressor map for it for a tune but dont no what size turbo to go with ive heard its a 60 trim....... IDK please help

That's not bad for a small street turbo. That's about 35.5lbs/min@14psi. Think of a small 16G size..

this turbo is way way bigger than a 16g it has a t3 style flange its off a nissan 280z and is just oil cooled, i can get a picture if anyone needs one...

yep now what size do you think the compressor size is the turbine is .63 whats the compressor side......... i think i might just have them burn me a base map for a 50 trim.......

Even the best "base" map you should not boost on. It is unsafe. It makes no difference if its a 50 or 60 trim just like I said above. Dont boost it until its actually tuned and then you'll see what kind of power the turbo makes and such. That will give you a better idea as to what size trim it is.

im going to boost it to all hell on the basetune haha JK i was just told to find the right compressor map for the tune so thats all i was doing guys thanks again for the help i go tit all bolted on today the turbo is so big it doesnt even start to spool till 3500 ish lol
