Starting To Hate All Cars Not Honda
Ok here it goes. I am new to this forum but not forums I am a member of NASIOC I have a 2007 Subaru WRX modded of course. I am tired of AWD and all problems to come of it. Dont get me wrong the grip is awsome and love it and all I have been hearing my drivetrain this my drivetrain that so on. I would just to go with a turbo honda I know a bit about them but not that much, I know about going from high compression to low compression things like that I just need some ideas. I am thinking about buying a 99-00 civic si or 97-00 teg and going with a full race stage 2 turbo kit I just dont any advice would help thanks

welcome to the world of Honda's. I was VERY interested in getting an STi back then, so I browsed Nasioc a lot. But due to lack of funds, I wasn't able to afford it, so I stuck with Honda's. They're much more easier to work on, and a stage 1 kit from full-race would easily walk an STi from a roll. Also, why do you limit yourself to 97-00 integra's? they range from 94-01. 94-95 being obd1 and 96+ are obd2.
And I also didn't get the last sentence you wrote there.

Re: Starting To Hate All Cars Not Honda (RB26InaS2000)
****, does your PERIOD key not work? YIkes...
So what exactly do you want to know? You've picked a proven kit, but that's half the battle. I'd suggest Neptune, Hondata S300, or ECtune for the tuning aspect. You will have to convert to an OBD1 computer (we call them ECU's), which only needs the adapter harness and ecu - but I'm not sure what Tennesee emission requirements are. Worst case you'll have to revert to stock injectors and cat to get tested. Just remember that speed-density cars (map sensor) don't auto-adjust AFR's like a mass air flow setup will. Most minor changes in parts can change your tune enough to ruin the motor.
As for the motor, DOHC VTEC is like saying STi over at NASIOC. I prefer the B18B blocks with a B16 head, mainly due to the extra stroke/displacement, and that those cranks have the wider rod bearing surfaces. Some people HAVE to have the DP-space-robbing girdle that comes on the B18Cx motors. If you want over 400whp, its best to resleeve the block. You can then add displacement by going from 81mm to 84mm bore (or anywhere in between).
Over in the Honda world, 9:1 is average for a 300-500whp engine. Above that you may choose lower compression or oversized turbo. People have also done many 300whp 10:1 motors, but its always the cast pistons that crack. A piston/rod upgrade with 10:1 can usally take 400whp with decent tuning and pump gas (93).

Re: Starting To Hate All Cars Not Honda (HiProfile)
Sorry my PERIOD key doesn't work sometimes. Also to clear up some confusion I 'am not limited to certain years to was throwing some out there. And for the last sentence, I was saying I know that I have to go from high to low compression and I was looking at a FULL-RACE turbo kit. HiProfile you are some what speaking japanese to me. I was going to go with a Hondata S300 because my friend has one and he love's it. But thanks for everyone's advice. I was thinking of what ever car I get do a B18C1 or B16A2 swap. My friend has a B18C1 swap in his 99 civic and I like it.

seems like you have a pretty good budget, why dont you go for EK9, swap in an 89mm crank from b20/b18ls, eagle rods low comp piston, gt35 and youre good to go.
s300 is really nice. very easy to tune.

I know my friend had the S300 and he loved it data logging was easy. Also being able to control everything launch control, just being to enter in the injector size so on. Now the EK9 is a 6th Gen 1996-2000 Hatchback had the D16Y7 or D16Y8 right. I also like the 5th Gen 1992-1995 Hatchback body style (bubble) can I still swap motors?

the 96-00 hatchbacks never came with the y8 motor. They were either the y7, or the Cx motor, whatever the hell that is.
But you can swap to a different motor with both of the chassis.

Re: (2redstars)
I am planning on around 300-400whp. My friends honda had 312whp and it was pretty good. So maybe 350-375whp. And my WRX is black with 17" gold rota boost rims.
