turbo help
i'm lookin to turbo my minime low budget style, i'v got a few turbos sitting around but they need to be rebuilt. my question is would this turbo (4387235 mitsubishi TE04H) be good to use? only wanna run 8psi max not sure if that matters or not.. i can get pics of the two turbos i have when my brother comes over with his cam.. they both have shaft play and will need to be rebuilt but should i even mess with them or just find a diffrent one?

Re: (TheShodan)
All turbos have shaft play. It is only important if:
1) the blades hit the side of the housing
2) there is signifcant in/out play.
When the turbo's bearings fill with oil, they tighten right up. Many turbos that you would think need a rebuild when on the bench dry still boost just fine w/o blowing oil once they get installed.

..what you should have gotten out of this, I hope, is that if I were you, I'd try them before I spent money to rebuild them.
