Default Turbo Help

Wuz up Guys I finally got my partial turbo kit that I have been plannin on so long. I just want to ask a few questions. my first question is I really would like 250 to 350 hp and the turbo I have will support that but I was wondering I want to and dont want to skip doing the headwork, cams etc. Do you guys think I should just do a compression/leakdown test and just put the turbo on it or do you guys think I should just buy the pistons cams and valve spring kit you know the essentials to turn the boost up? And do I need a downpipe, dumptube, charge pipe, and what size injectors do you think I need? I also was wondering when I do my compression/leakdown test I know that the numbers are supposed to be 15 apart but what other ways do I tell if my motor is going bad. I just wanna boost asap and I need feedback thanks guys.

And my setup is a Borg Warner GM-1 T3 turbo. I also have a Tial 38mm wastegate along with a Blitz BOV. I want at least 300hp at the most out of it as a daily driver.
