k guys im a noob when it comes to turbos.. well anyways i got a stock jdm b16a and im wanting to get turbo to get a bit more power.. i was wondering whats a good and reliable set up... how much psi should i go around 6? last night at the track i ran a 14.8 on a stock motor. im wanting to get to low 13s atleast. what brand should i get. trying to be under 4k.
help me if you can.. thanks.

 

Damn, your budget's 4k?

You can piece together your own with a mid-size turbo such as a T3/T4 and run 30psi, full built bottom end, and all the fuel management systems you'll need for that....

You could probably build a turbo for that car for 2 grand. Start throwing in things like reinforcing the block and a really good tune, you got yourself a fast car .

 

well for a turbo set up that im looking at is a turbonetics and its about 3500.
more replys lol. i heard turbonetics suck.. everyone says garrett is the best way to go.

i got the same motor a JDM b16a i went with a drag kit, pick it up used for a grand came with a brand new garrett 57 trim turbo, i got rc750s for 300, hondatas200 and ecu for 375, act 6puck and pp for 350 and walbaro 255 pump 100, waiting to get tunned maybe this weekend, by seendata in louisville ky, i will let you know how things go, tunning and all not much over 2k going to try for around 300whp,
