Default turbo intecooler question am i loosing power or gaining torque????????????

turbo has a 2.5" outlet intercooler has a 2" inlet and 2 1/4" outlet

if i put a 2.5" reducer to 2" on
with a 2" pipe of about 2 feet to the intercooler then i got a 2 1/4" pipe coming from intercooler in a bend and a 2.5" charge pipe to my b16

putting a reducer from the 2.5"outlet on my turbo with 2" pipe going to my inetrcooler
am i loosing power ????????
or
should i get a new intercooler with 2.5" inlet outlet and all 2.5" piping??????

x2

with a gt40r, the drag intercooler will be very restrictive and in-efficient.

what do you need a gt40r for when you can get the gt35r for your power goals.

You could use a 30R for those goals.

u have to change almost everything on ur setup to run a gt40r. intercooler, manifold, down pipe, a big waste gate. you do realize the gt40r is a t4 right?

you dont need a big wastegate... a 38mm will work but a 44mm would be best.

t3 exhaust housings are way restrictive compared to a t4... im going with t4 cause just about any t3 power strts to fall off at 6500+ rpm....the bigger turbo the more hp ill make off of pump gas.....i dont mind lag i got a 55 shot of spray...and if i hit full bosst at like 5500 or 6k ill rev it to 10k to make up for it.... then shift a 9 k for all my othere gears once the turbo is spooled....

yeah im changing my intercooler.....anyone in particular you guys are impressed with for the money???

yeah i changed everything already except for the intercooler....

im runnin hondata
1,000cc rc injectors.... walbro 255
all the bolt on mods i can intake manifold, throttlebody, power pulleys
peak boost turbo maifold
38mm wastegate
turbo xs duel stage boost controller
gsr cams for now with stock cam gears
ferra valves with supertechvalvesprings and type r lost motion assemblys
stock port job on head
crower probillet rods
benson sleeves
srp pistons (i will change them when i break the ring lands / normally first thing to go on those) but if seen srps take 500whp plus...... its all in the tune and i trust my tuner...

my car will probably never see race gas... so i think the srp's will do me good on pump gas.... for the next 2 years...

thats not a gt40r... tool
its a t3 turbo with a gt40 compressor wheel.. flows nothing like a gt40r nor does it make as much power.
