doh! I heard pinging after the miss hap, never heard it before, but I'm gonna try and install another throttle body, and maybe a fuel pump and injectors, possible the greddy blue bod, if not I'm gonna need a new swap. Thanx for the tip though!

the same exact thing happend to me. except the part about the turbo porche..but funny thing is, my roommate and I went to visit his friend who had a 944 turbo (which i smoked) with my sohc turbo. I was on the freeway coming home and i heard a pinging noise so i pushed the clutch in and the motor just died, same symptoms. Turns out one of my rod bearings went bad, and so I decided to try and drive it anyway, and I ended up throwing a rod out of the side of my motor! But I had my car dynoed when I went on vacation before the mishap, I had 201 hp to the wheels, at 10 psi and the a/f ratio was perfect. I had my ignition timing advanced just a "scoutch" or whatever the hell that means
