fmu will run the kit fine but to have full tunability uberdata/hondata. any of the obd1 ecu programs will give you larger control of your setup. Timing as well as fuel delivery with larger injectors

Sell the FMU and Missing Link to cover the cost of a ROM burner ($85) and a datalogging cable ($25). Run Uberdata Or Crome (freeware ROM Editors).

Research: http://www.pgmfi.org

FMU and Missing link are worthless tuning tools, IMO.

Thats true BUT if you just want a turbo'd car that runs an FMU will work.
If youre new to cars youre probably having a good time with the setup the way it is. Later if you stay "into" cars you may want more power thats when you have to upgrade.

Marginally at best.

Why have a half-assed setup with all of the freeware tuning tools available?

To run the car on boost is one thing, to "turn it up" is another altogether. Anything past the stock 5.5psi from the wastegate and I'd strongly urge you to run some kind of OBD-I editor (Uberdata, Crome, Hondata etc..). Head over to the Uberdata forum if you're looking for more information on it (google search).

Hang onto those injectors and resistor pack, have your ECU socketed, buy yourself a ROM burner (moates.net) and get your car on a wieband, that's the safest way to set it up. Oh yea one more thing, have fun! That's why we do it afterall

There's plenty of room, and I have the SMD latch chips for the JDM ECUs.

Freeware ROM editors and tuning info can be found at http://www.pgmfi.org

Yeah, I have two sitting on the work bench next to me, and I've chipped more than 30 JDM ECUs.

What basemap did you start with for the Jdm D15b? I know the maps are supposed to be a bit leaner that D16 maps but the only stock P08 map I found seemed it was richer (crome map).
Or did I have it backwards and they should be richer than D16 maps (I know they are not the same)

I'm replacing my Civic EX's D16z6 with a JDM D15b thats why I ask (boosted of course)

i dont know what ecu is in the car but i would assume that it is the ecu that would come with the jdm d15b, i dont know becuase i bought the car turboed and setup already. and again thanks for th help everyone i am starting to learn alot from your suggestions. one more ? what do you think is to much boost for that motor to be daily drven, ive heard i could run 10 psi on the d15b and it would be fine as daily driverm, but i would definately like to hear ur suggestions.

I used the stock P08 #237 code. You can use it in Crome, or import it as a P30 in Uberdata.

Probably because they don't have the SMD 74HC373 latches.

You mean Import the Crome map #237 into Uber as a P30 bin? I never had success importing NON-Uberdata Bins into Uberdata before.

No. Import the stock Honda code #237 into Uberdata as a P30 to start with as a basemap. You can find the #237 in the pgmfi.org library.
