Icon6 turbo d15 issues

Well, I got a freshly attached turbo kit on my eg civic, I'm making about 9lbs of boost, I let the car warm up, it runs fine, if I drive it conservitively keeping it under like 5k in rpm it runs fine, right after I boost, car runs like crap, the car lags like crazy, the pedal feels heavy, it will only run right if I floor it between stop signs, any ideas? I've got an fmu, and it smells like fuel in the car afterwards... any ideas?? Thanks

No one uses FMU's anymore..

I dont know who peiced together your turbo kit, but some doesnt know what they are doing.

Your tuner (if you have one) shouldve realized and talked to you about what is wrong with your set up.

If this is an ebay kit you slapped on yourself, then this is just the beginning of your engine problems.

Actually, i doubt youll get a serious answer be cause of this.

The lag could be because ur running way to rich. Ditch the FMU and get a chipped ECU and try getting it tuned, shouldnt be more than 125 bucks to have in dyno tuned!!

Well thanks for all the input, seems like the main issue is the fmu so I have to find a way to manage everything without using it...

Get a chipped P28 ECU. I mean you can even get Hondata S100, its cheap, reliable and way better than an FMU

Chipped/tuned ECU running neptune should be fine.. Crome is a cheap alternative..

Neptune is just as expansive and reliable as the S300.Just alot cheaper.

Tune with dyno runs $300ish..
