turbo comparison garrett T3 60 trim vs. Td05 16g?
How would you guys rate these two turbos in: spool time, reliability, and just experience with them? I think the MHI turbo are a little bit cheaper I just wandered why are they less of a quality compared to Garrett?

I had the evo 3 16g (Td05) on my talon for a while. It did great at 26psi. How much boost do you plan to run? Spool time on the 16g is really quick and mine lasted 15k miles (before I upgraded). It's still running on my friends gsx to this day. ~40k miles and doing great.

Garretts are cheaper to rebuild IIRC, but between these two, the difference is power. A normal 16g will make maybe 25-50whp more than the T3 60trim's ~300whp, but if its a large 16g, I know a guy that's clipped his stock turbo, added meth injection, and is doing mid-400's with his.
I'd personally go with a T3 flange on a Honda, its the most common type for a Honda manifold.

not to jack this thread, but i believe this is relavent as well. I run a tdo6 (20g) on my built b16a, still working out some boost issues, but it made about 240whp at 8-9psi, Has anyone had any experience with this turbo on a honda motor b4? and also is there anyway to clearly identify which version of the 20g i have. (mine is t3 flanged)
