Default Turbo Cleaning question

How do you guys clean your turbo? I just got mine in the mail today, and it looked nothinig like the beautiful picture.. It's dirty, but it looks like it works.. I'm gonna do a leak test on it, and clean & polish it.. What do you guys use to make ur turbos squeaky clean bling bling? It's a garrett T3 btw, i got it for $180.00

i usually just run boost to keep mine clean

I heard gasoline or paint thinner will do the job? is this true? i want my turbo clean inside out

brake cleaner, but be careful, brake cleaner can ruin rubber seals...

just take the housing off, 6 bolts on each side, and clean them off....

becareful with paint thinners they can corrupt your seals.

Here the reason old school Hot-Rod guys don't buy any of that stuff:

http://www.palmolive.com/index.shtml mix with warm water soak rinse, and repeat.

Or try using some rubbing alcohol it all works. Why destroy the enviroment?
