WELL IM TRYING THIS SETUP FOR ***** AND GIGGLES THIS WEEKENDS EVENT AND I WANTED TO KNOW HAS ANYONE CONSIDER TO RUN A STOCK B20VTEC TURBO AND MADE ANYWHERES OVER 400, IT COULD BE RACE GAS OR PUMP GAS, I JUST WANNA KNOW THE SETUPS AND HOW LONG IT HELD UP, NEED REVIEWS ASAP

ive never heard of a turbo b20/b20v lasting for a long time. im sure theres some out there but all i hear is how it ends horrendously.

defiantly can be done with 116 race gas.. Should last a couple passes

Well its a b20vtec 67mm Garrett n racegas rc1000 walbro setup, s300 etc either way just wanna go play around in the 11:50 or 10:50 class see what the fields like

sorry was outside texting from my cellie. either way simple set up and its not money to burn its a motor that is at sacrifice this weekend, its better that than my built motor, so i just wanna have a lil fun, it will have a perfect fine tune, but i just very afraid of high cylinder pressures gonna **** something up before i leave the dyno

My tuner is making 400whp on a stock GSR, so more displacement will make it easier to get, but those rod bolts on LS/CRV blocks suck. Go for it, just keep the revs safe.
It's all in the tune, BTW. Using race gas helps, lol.

well i figure rev to 8000 maybe 8500 and hope to make good power and have fun, just seeing if anyine made power on stock internals gsr ls b20 whatever and how long it lasted

lots of people do stock gsr 400+. Motors are stronger than b20's tho.

theres quite a few people in that thread close to or in the 400's on stock sleeves that have lasted .

rev-speed

we have acouple stock block b20vtecs in the 350 very reliable
and one that was hurt at 395
we ran it at cmi ones than it started making noise
when we took it apart it was the clutch
still motor had two bend rods and three cracked sleeves
this was on e85 the 395whp
the other s r on 91 octane
ps keep rev limit at 7.8k..............

hmm welll im going to aim for some good numbesr in best hopes, that it holds up 450 and ill be content, should get a nice low 11 sec pass
