turbo b16 afr problem
Is the car set up for closed or open loop? If its been running at 10.0 for a while the wideband sensor might be fouled out along with your spark plugs. See if the sensor and/or plugs are completely black. Also check to see if tps and map sensor are good and make sure they weren't plugged in backwards by accident. Make sure grounds are good too. Valve cover...tranny...thermostat...ecu. Make sure distributor is good and all spark plug wires are tight. Also check resistor box wiring and injectors to see if any get stuck open. Just throwing things out there off the top of my head. Does your car warm up to normal operating temp too? Maybe it's stuck in warm up enrichment if the coolant temp sensor is bad. Hope you figure out what's wrong.
Call me crazy but have you checked your battery voltage????i know its easy to overlook the simple things during a build but it explains all your problems.#1you said your battery light has been on,#2A battery that is too weak for even the alternator to charge can throw mixed voltages to important sensors (explining why you get an occasional cel. #3 its odd that you took out your HIDs (which require alot of power) and it quit acting up. Idk just a thought for you to consider.GOod Luck!
No I have not but I just put a brand new battery in and its still acting up, the build is 5 years old so its not a swapped wire or anything, I forgot to add my idle is way lower than normal, changed plugs it did nothing, it's on and off though, like it'll be cruising at 10.0 then the car will push forward and the afr will jump to where they should be, it has a good tune on it, it's ran fine one the same setup for 5 years, I'm thinking the map is going bad, because not only is it running rich as Hell, when I do go to hit boost it leans out and it never did this before, but when it's running "right" it won't lean out up top or fall to 10.0 it just drives how it was before clean cruising and boost
