Hey I am very close to getting my b16 in and turboing it...at the shop I hang around...they just recently did a turbo b16, it made like 205whp at 8-10 psi...not certain...it was a pieced together turbo kit with fmic and vafc hack...I have alot nicer turbo parts but will still be running the vafc and 450's for now...I'm installing a block gaurd and better head gasket...may run 12psi or so...does anyone think that 205 is extremely low?...because to me that sounded blah...but they act like it's normal...lemme know what all ya'lls turbo b16's are doing...thanks!

 

My low compression B16 only makes 210 or so at 7 psi on an SC34... Sounds pretty normal.

that sounds pretty low. My B16 with apexi turbo kit. made 250whp.

Did he have a small turbo? It sounds to me like it had no tuning done to it.
He should get closer to 250HP with 9-10 psi!

 

Yes it was tuned...but like I said with a vafc...his turbo setup was definitely nothing like I'm running...I forget what turbo he was running...maybe have been a t25?...I'm experimenting with a t04 just because I have it here, I hope to make more power than 200...I also plan to switch over to obd1 and run hondata down the road...I know that will help out some, keep posting numbers!

 

my old hatch with stock b16 made 229whp @ 6 psi spiking to 8..dsm 450cc,vafc,walbro 255,turbonetics t3/t4,drag mani and open dp..

he prolly had a tiny turbo on there and was running out of the efficiency range
