Default turbo B16

Hi

Im sure you might have heard this once or twice but i am interested in turboing my b16 civic but i am worried about my engine. I want to run about 6-8 psi but im worried if i take the car out on a track with this setup it won't last more than a few laps.

I wanted to know if people who have a turbo b16 put theres on the track have had any problems?

L.T.

Read the FAQ; there are tons of stuff to get you started. You can run more then 6-8psi no problem on a STOCK b16. Im going to take it easy on ya; but just search; questions of this nature are very common and get deteled really quick.

Good luck!

You can even run that on stock injectors with an inline fuel pump and FMU.

If you have money, buy some bigger injectors and hondata.

If you can afford to do pistons and rods you should do that too. It means you have to take the motor out to install them, but once they're in you dont have to worry about busting your pistons. I have heard people talking about installing pistons and rods from underneath without having to remove the motor or head. I dont know if this is possible or not, so maybe it's something you wanna look into as well.

you cannot remove the pistons from the bottom of the block. there isnt enough clearance to pull the piston between the main studs.

only thing's that you can do inside the block without removing the engine are:

rollout on the main and rod berrings,
change oil pan gaskets,
change oil pickup tube,
change dip stick tube,
add or remove block girdle.
