Which Turbo??
I have no idea which Turbo to get for my setup. There are a bunch out there, so if you guys could help me reduce some choices, that would be great.
First off, here's my planned setup:
2000 Integra GSR:
- Inline Pro T3 4 Bolt Turbo Manifold
- Spoolin Performance 3" Downpipe
- Spoolin Performance Dump Tube
- Front Mount Intercooler w/ Piping
- Hondata S200B
- Tial 38mm Wastegate
- Tial BOV
- RC 550cc Injectors
- SS Braided/AN Fitting Return Line
- Skunk2 Intake Manifold
- Thermal R&D 3" inch Turbo Exhaust
- Carsound 3" inch cat
- Walbro 255 LPH Fuel Pump
- GReddy Turbo Timer
- GReddy Profec B Spec II Boost Controller
- GReddy Boost/EGT/Oil Pressure Guages
- Autometer Full A-Pillar Tripple Pod
- ACT HDSS Clutch
- ACT XACT Streetlight Flywheel
I have an Inline Pro T3 4 bolt manifold, so I'll need to choose a T3 turbo for my setup.
I plan to boost around 8lbs at first. I wanna hit 275-300wHP and I plan to boost some more later on when I build the internals up.
Which T3 Turbo would be good for my setup? Something without horrible lag?

Re: (yellowturbo)
something that will allow me to boost 7 or 8lbs.
I believe if the Spring is higher than 7 or 8psi, then I won't be allowed to boost that low.

I would tell you to go with 60-1 so you have room for future. Everyone knows that boost is addictive and you cant get enough. Today you may want 300whp but the next day you might watn 325whp etc.. etc..
Happy boosting

you will be working the t3/t4 a little bit to achieve 400whp while one can easily make over 400whp with a 60-1/t3.
Again this is my opinon and others are welcomed.

That's what I have found. A smaller turbo will achieve 400 whp, but it will take some boost to get there. I would go with the t3/60-1, t3/t67, even SC61. All will make good power on a minimal amount of boost. This is what I have found from personal experience.

It could be due to the fact that I'm running less displacement then you are. B16a2 (84.5mm bore) vs. B18c1-5

Re: Which Turbo?? (TurboChrgd_Civic)
your reccomending some biggg turbos there. idunno man , the kids asking for 300-400hwp and your providing info on turbos for 600hp. i think its over kill for what he wants, but what do i know. yes you will have lots of room to grow, but if he doesnt grow into it he's spending alot of extra money on something he doesnt need and might be not as worth while for a street car.

Your going to get lag with the 3 I mentioned, but really good top end. It's a trade off. I'm willing to sacrafice a quicker spool for more HP top end.

Your right. I agree... Just trying to save him some money down the line. And he does plan on building the internals.
