Part of the not spooling above 4-5psi is the fact there is no dp, the dp puts enough backpressure for the turbo to be able to spool, also if the BOV is sticking open that could be an issue as well.
lack of backpressure HELPS spooling and would not affect full boost levels. To find the problem I'd look into that very ghetto bov setup. Is it properly adjusted? Also, i dunno how that runs w/o a d/p at all. Where do you connect o2 sensor(s)?

my A/F is connected at the proper location on the manifold, 2nd o2 sensor isnt hooked up at all, no missing problems or rough idle at all *knock on wood*.

I FIXED THE BOOST PROBLEM. turns out the plastic pieace of **** pipe up front was the culprit, replaced it with a quality steel pipe 2". BUT...

my wastegate isnt working hooked up my car spikes at 10psi which scared the **** out of me but HOLY MOTHER OF EVERYTHING HOLY ON THIS PLANET my car pulled so ******* hard i pooped my pants. the wheels broke loose in 1st gear.

I LOVE BOOST

hey man is that a t-25??? looks good but u need some work bro...get some stuff taking care of...just lookin out and not wanting you to blow something early. im runnin that same setup on my CRX. just having problems cuase it seems to be leaning out at anything after 5psi...kinda feels like its hesitating. i have a feeling it could either be the cams or maybe a problem with vaccuum or something.

well jsut to let you know man...gotta get that intercooler on ASAP!!! also take care of that wastegate problem...i had mine spike up to 10 cuase one of my fans was holding the wastegate shut and got some detonation...be careful!!! and another thing...what kinda spark plugs are you running??? if you dont already have them get you some NGK 3330 (colder plugs), you can tell a difference. aslo, what did you do bout you map sensor??? did you do the check valve thing??? and i also noticed that there are no zip ties on all the vaccuums...a lot of boost is running through those lines...might wanna take care of that...woulndt want u losing to a domestic jsut cause one of ur lines got loose...IM JUST LOOKIN OUT FOR FELLOW IMPORTS
but if you got any questions man i would love to help out...i did my own custom kit and its a pain in the *** without help for some things...but thats a nice lookin setup for custom...hopefully i can get some pix of mine up soon. ill check back later

too late, i blew my headgasket within the first week, i think the headgasket was already weak though, i hooked up the exhaust finally, wastegate is still not opening and its starting to make me mad but i can try to regulate the throttle, intercooler is oging on soon, and headgasket should be on i HOPE by the end of the week. I picked up some NGK plugs from honda that are 1 degree colder, and it runs smoother as the boost goes up, but i think im still getting detonation cause i pulled the plugs and noticed little white flecks on them. My turbo might have bad seals too because i think im burning oil and therse no way in hell it could be rings or valves cause my motor is only 40,000 miles old. So other than all that the kit is running great and i had a chance to run my car last wednesday and it pulled a 14.4@96 on a poop clutch full street trim, so overall i am very happy with the kit

my car doesnt seem to have any leaning out problems, however the inline fuel pump did become disconnected so much and every time the turbo would kick in my car would bog and start backfiring so i had to fix that quick heh.

well that sucks that u blew a head gasket man...i am scared for that day to come when i do it hmm, bout that wastegate...how do you have the vacuums run to the compressor and the actuator??? are you sure nothing is in the way of the wastegate??? cuase i had that problem with a fan...i know that you have a smaller radiator and dont have that extra fan but i dunno...just a thought
well sounds like youre doing pretty good with your setup but i still dont under stand why you are detonating...have u tried using some race gas??? i know its expensive but i know you will love it. i mean u can get like 5 gallons for like $30-35 and be worry free bout detonation...(shouldnt be too bad running 10psi either) but dont go overboard just try it out. try to find you some 104-110 octane and make sure its unleaded. oh by the way, are you runnin any particular fuel management...i see you have an up graded fuel pump but do you have an FMU or bigger injectors or anything of that sort??? i was just wondering. also do you have any guages to read things??? like boost, a/f ratio, oil pressure, exhaust gas temp??? i mean that way you can tell if youre leaking vacuum, oil, etc.
man i wish i could see how your vacuums are maybe i can compare them with mine and we could try to solve your little wastegate problem...if you want to email me if you got an AOL/AIM account you can hit me up sometime...my email/AIM is curiousgpnoy@aol.com...that is, if you got any questions or anything. i know im not the a professional or greatest at this but every little bit helps out.
im very impressed with your times man...14.4 with a SOHC is very impressive...at least it is to me (2 thumbs up)
LET ME KNOW HOW THINGS GO...and if you can i would love to see more pix of your custom kit (with everything on...i/c, downpipe, maybe even the whole car)!!!

i use 91 octane now, i was thinkin about buying a bunch of octane booster and throw that in the tank every time i fill up maybe. I am running a inline fuel pump and a cartech 12:1 FMU, i need aintercooler still, headgasket and a clutch, if it turns out the turbo is burning oil i think ill hit the market looking for a 16G. only guage i have is a boost guage

oh man, BIG NO NO!!! turbo gets expensive bro...theres one of your big problems of detonation...youre only using 91 octane!!! i use nothing less than 93 sometimes 92 if its all they have...im not sure how cali is but i know here in TX they have 93 at most gas stations...but bout your idea on the octane booster thing...that really doesnt work cause i asked bout that and its not gonna boost it up enough. i heard that they have some gas stations there that sell race gas...some like 103 octane...cant rememeber what its called but check around man...that way you can have a little fun...hahahahaha
well take it easy on that motor man...hope things work out for you...let me know how it goes
