Default turbo is in

its working good. only problems are that i have no downpipe as you can see and i cant boost above 4-5psi for some reason... must be the gheto charge pipes i dont konw but i havent blown up my car yet and it pulls harder a lot more torquey. blow off valve doesnt work all the time either

that and my engine found places to spew out oil that i never ******* even seen before.

Part of the not spooling above 4-5psi is the fact there is no dp, the dp puts enough backpressure for the turbo to be able to spool, also if the BOV is sticking open that could be an issue as well.

looks good for a custom i guess. i'm guessing u probably have a leak someone in ur piping if your BOV isn't working all the time. are you running an intercooler? i envy all turbos now. esp the sohcs. good to see more pple still have trust in the power of the sohc tho. good luck and have fun

And you're wondering why you're only pushing 4-5psi Is your wastegate signal line even attached. I see both ports left open...on the wastegate and on the turbo.

Looks pretty good except for the duct tape. Don't drive around to long with the dp open like that. Believe me, it will toast your hood. I got black exhaust crap all over the place too.

no......

The turbo may spool FASTER creating a faster spool up....there should be NO change in boost, unless the flow is by-passing the wastegate valve. In that case even, the boost should INCREASE.

It's most likely the WG actuator that is limiting the boost.

not having a dp will not affect how much boost you're seeing, if anything it'll creeep and spool faster

how do you explain it not going above 5psi?

it hit 8psi ONCE then it never hit 8 again
