Turbo 2000 Civic Si is complete! New member ? too
I need to get a clutch now, I'm running 8lbs of boost and have the stock clutch. The stock clutch doesn't like the boost though lol. What clutch does everybody recommend for 8-12lbs of boost?? I want to post pics of my Si project since I bought it stock from a old man 2 months ago. It's come a long way and i want to show everybody the build process. I'm new to the site and don't know how, can anybody help me with that? Thanks, Justin

True true, but I would like to keep my girlfriend also lol. She doesn't understand why I have to keep buying more parts.

I'm working her in, it takes time. Not looking to make 400-500hp just want good parts for good prices, that makes sense right.

seems kind of pointless turboing the car without buying a clutch. Should have been done at the same time. I agree competition clutches are good....its what i have stage 5 i believe. Its fine on the street
ALso what is it tuned on? Youre girlfriend isnt going to want to be with you when you have no car. So make sure its tuned.

Act Street Disc and Heavy Duty Pressure plate for me and it holds up to 245tq, im at 235tq so its close but holding well (Paid about 450 for both). Find out what Tq level your at and that will tell you what clutch will work.

i have a 112 dollar F1 racing clutch from the local warehouse here in city of industry and i have had this clutch since i have built my engine which was last year, and its a stage 3 6 puck. you can listen to all the "ballers" here and get a really expensive clutch that honestly wont matter when your car for sure doesnt make over 300 lbs of torque. cmon people, not everyone is made of money lol and he said that his girlfriend is on his ***. i got a built b18b on 20 psi of boost (312 lbs of torque)and i daily my car everyday and take it to the track every now and then and never had i once had my clutch slip on me or make wierd sounds and i personally installed it with the help of youtube and a snap on torque wrench lol. when i bought the clutch i also got a 11 pound flywheel or maybe a bit lighter and zero problems here. competition clutches and brand name clutch are for poeple who dont mind buying a clutches that are worth half the value of their car on KBB, but if you got a life and a girlfriend like me then f1 racing clutches should be more than good enough for you. just remember USE LOCKTITE ON CLUTCH BOLTS, BREAK IT IN PROPERLY, PRELOAD YOUR LAUNCHES, AND DONT DRIVE LIKE AN IDIOT, and clutch will last a long *** time. and remember performance clutches in general dont last as long as normal clutches do so dont expect it to last 8 years like oem ones do with oem horsepower lol

o and i forgot, your girlfriend is probably not gonna like how the new clutch feels along with the future 3 inch exhaust your gonna get that wont let her talk to you without yelling. o and dont be surprised if she breaks up with you over your car, happens alot. so when you see another honda or racer on the street just dont even point it out like," o dang that integra has this n that" cuz she probably wont give a rats *** lol and will only annoy her. just sell it and get a charger or a bigger car, and she will be very pleased if the main concern here is your girl

Slayer, thanks for the info and well put back up for me lol. I was never saying I couldn't put money into the car without her getting mad. I just can't spend a thousand a week on it, but I got all the right parts ordered now and should be done with ordering for awhile (hopefully)! I have a p28 with chrome and base maps setup for my car and have a guy tuning the car when it comes in. I also bought a F1 racing clutch and will put it in myself when it comes in. Thanks guys. And if anybody wants this greddy e-manage for cheap, let me know and it's yours.

I have some experience with the F1 clutches as well, I had one in my accord, worked good for me, it was rated well above the tq. I was making and I had no problems for 2 years. I also have a friend that made 300whp & 290 wtq in his boosted accord with the same F1 stage 3 six puck. He had no problems either. For the money they aren't too bad. Although I will say I love my SPEC clutch!

Come on man you got to be clever...I have been married for 13yrs, I just completed turbo build on my da, and she only asked was why I had a new bumper and what is that thing inside your grill. I finally broke down and explained I put a turbo on the car from odd parts from work.
