ia ccidentaly stripped2 of the threads in the turbine. im tlaking about the 1s u have to loosen to clock it. well the other 4 are tight, and the 2 that are fucked arent close to each other either. will this pose a problem. i didnt think it will, but i wanted to make sure

 

heli-coil them.

you just lost 30% of the bolts holing your housing on. fix them now or suffer later

 

Those dont need to be he-man tight. Should have realized that after the 1st one stripped.

 

well i mean the housing it very tight, it aint going anywhere.its tight as ****. and if i must helicoil, what size are they, does any1 know??

so get this ****. i called pheonix turbo and they said the size it 8x 1.25 for the bolts. i went to pepboys and i found a helicoil kit with no price tags. so i took it up to the register and he looked up the item. he said this item isnt even in our sytem, you can just take it. so i was soo happy. he even let me take 2 kits. later on, i was at carquest getting an oil pan gasket and just becuase i was curious, i asked how much they sell their 8 x 1.25 helicoil kits for. i looked at it. SAME EXACT THING as what i had gotten for free. he said 40+ bucks. i saved 80+ dollars. how bout that!!!

you stripped the threads out of a cast housing? i could see the aluminum compressor housing getting stripped bvut god damn you must be stronger than you think

 

yea i know. i helicoilds 2 and they seem to be working. but i dont liek the part where i have to drill, it really thins the cast iron
