So your saying this will damage the engine? I kno its safer to leave it all motor but i thought 3psi witouth reving high would be harmless

Well unless you give us another build thread we cant say if its safe or not. Depending on what you use for fuel management(safc, fmu, blah blah).

If your just running stock fuel components then yeah, really dont wanna be boosting until you have something to control the fuel a little better. But if it is stock i believe the stock map sensor will send a code to the ecu if it goes into boost and send the computer into safe mode. Been a while since i dug into the turbo stuff, but really just get a proper tune or the stuff you need to do it on your own(if you have the ability/time to research)

but yes 3psi is really nothing, if your worried just back your boost controller or wastegate out fully so you almost generate no boost. If your hitting 3psi without giving much throttle load then your gonna be running quite a bit more if you actually stomp it, so be careful

And are you getting boost on partial throttle? when you say 3 psi when do you see that?

either way its not great and if you ever give in and decide to punch it you will either have a very sad engine or your comp will go into limp mode and save your ***. Either is not something you wanna deal with.

So keep your foot out of it or if possible drive another car while this one is finished, its soo close you dont want to see it go bad here.

if your motor is stock and dont plan on going over 11 psi you dont really need a 3 bar map
