ay guys! so i just bought a t3/t4 turbo from a friend of mine that he had on his e.g. hatch and i was cleaning it up yesterday and i notice that the turbine has a lil play. now my question is, is the turbine suppose to have play? thanks!

 

mine has just a little of play... basically just enough to feel it move.... when it was new it felt like it had Zero play but after putting a few hundred miles on it you could tell that it moves just a bit....

 

the wheels will always have slight play. whether it touches the housing or not is the key indicator if the turbo is totally busted n worn out. the blades should NOT touch or scrape the housing when you spin it. and it should not have a lot of thrust play ( side to side movement)
