Default Turbo Terminology...

Sorry if this has been posted before but I did a search and came up with nothing.

I am confused whenever you guys are talking about turbos. I realise that most of the time you guys are referring to garrett turbos (T25/T3/TO4E) but do not understand the garrett turbo terminology except for A/R ratio. What is trim and the different wheel stages? e.g. T3/T04e 57trim stage 3 .63

57 trim stage 3 .63 A/R refers to turbine or compressor?

Won't both turbine and compressor have seperate A/R ratios and trims or different stage wheels?

A website or something would be very useful

Thanks for any help

57 Trim is the Compressor Wheel which is usually in a .60 A/R Compressor Housing.

Stage III is the Turbine Wheel which would be in a .63 A/R Turbine Housing.

HAHAHA!

I was waiting for somebody to pick up on that! I was watching American Pie 2 when I posted that.

anyways... Barnes and Nobles' website is http://www.bn.com try http://www.amazon.com or look in the yellow pages and find the nearest B&N. Rather than order it online I called the 4 nearest B&N stores, and the 4th ended up having one copy of Maximum Boost, I told them to hold it and I drove there 30 miles to pick it up.
