wtf is a pyrometer? same thing as exhaust gas temperature? if it is, then that can be a big help in tuning....

yes a EGT.. because i have a A/F but it's a **** for tunning. so i am wondering to install a EGT. Do you think i will be correct for 8 psi on a D16A6 with stock internal?

it will help, but your ignition timing will affect EGT as much and sometimes more than your a/f ratio.

best bet is to take a trip to your local dyno with wide band O2

Easy:
WB is essential for tuning.

Retard timing too much = Temps climb higher and higher.
Advance too much = Detonation and the deadly ping, which causes temps to go up faster.

SDS-EFI has a really good article on how to tune for best power with an EGT.
