Default tuning ?s

ok im boosting my b16a very soon and my question is
i plan on running the stock .45 bar of boost with the tial wastgate (on the street)
then im thinking of buying a manual boost controller to boost say 8 psi at the track

do i have my hondata tuned to run at .45 bar or 8psi

sorry im a noob

Since you're running a hondata unit, i assume that you will be using a 3bar map sensor. With the case of that, you have the entire rpm and map values up to 3 bar to fill so technically you could boost to that. But usually tuning on the dyno, you will tune up to the your highest set boost level and set the values above that to a safe level in case you over boost.
