All of the above Rom editors have their strengths and weaknesses.. I personally use eCtune. http://www.ectune.com .. its got everything all the rest of them do, plus a bunch of new stuff.. The great thing about it is for a begginer it makes tuning much simpler, and if your a pro theres crap loads of things you can play with.. The factory honda ECU does alot more stuff than what most of the rom editors allow you to change.. With ectune you have access to alot more of these features. If your deciding which rom editor to use, you should definatly look into eCtune.. Heres a vid of some cars I've tuned with it.. These are ur avg low budget street cars..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQldxxweebw I'll be making another video soon showing off all the features of eCtune.. so keep your eyes open..

I guess you need to find a local reputable tuner and find out what he uses?hodata, neptune, crome, ectune all will work fine if tuned properly.

Actually, I prefer the NGK R5671A series. They come in heat ranges 7-11, the electrode is less protruded, and they sometimes make a few extra whp for no reason I can figure out but have proven a couple times over on the dyno.

Is that because the engine has time to cool in between runs while changing the plugs out?

Autozone has them, yes.
I always get them from Advanced Auto... Advanced wants NGK stock numbers (the four digit code on the box) for everything except the race plugs... you can enter R5671A-7 through R5671A-11 into their computer and it crossreferrences to the correct plug. Trying to enter a ZFR7E-11 or traditional plug number nets jack ****, and the parts guy is going to want to try to sell you stock plugs or claim that lower numbers are colder on NGK plugs because the parts guy is stupid.

Go with the R5671A series. As for what temp? It really does vary around from car to car, setup to setup, and at best all I can give you a rule of thumb for where to start, which isn't always what the car likes.
Stock MAP sensor cars go one temp colder than stock, everything else go two temps colder..

8-11 psi = one heat range colder.
I can feed you a part number which just keeps you as a n00b, or you can do some e-research and figure it out on your own and learn. I'd rather you learn. If you can come up with a plug number and explain why you think it'd work I would be more than happy to discuss/explain/correct/confrim it with you in an interactive manner.
http://www.ngk.com has all the info you need, including definitions of plug terms and the NGK plug sheet that explains what each letter/number in a plug code means.
