Default which tuning program to use?

I want to tune my car but i dont really know what program to use. which one would you guys recommend from these: uberdata, crome or neptune. my car is a d16z6 turbo. i am using a t3 t4 turbo. tial external wastegate. 3 inch downpipe. i am thinking of boosting about 8-11 psi.... do i need a three bar map sensor? or can i use the stock one and do i need bigger injectors? any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would say you need bigger injectors and a map sensor. I think the factory ms is good to like 10 psi but id run a little less. The d series are only good for 8lbs with stock internals. I really have no experiance with any programs you mentioned, somone else should be able to help you out.

i've had good luck w/ Crome over the past couple years....i'd check it out. Neptune is going to be better, but you're also going to pay for it....

ive used uberdata for abbout 4 years. it got the jobdone but was kinda annoying at times. ive since been tuned on neptune and the car runs 100x smoother and better.

agreed.

450's should meet your needs, but it never hurts to go larger (550, 650, 750) thus leaving more room to grow. if you get larger than that, it take more skill to get a good idle but still possible.

stock map sensor will work but if you are running 11psi you will be at the end of the maps. also you need a little overhead to run a reliable boost cut. running the stocker at 11psi will not allow this.

If you want to be a baller, go with neptune rtp or hondata s300

Fixed it for you - psi has very little to do with what a stock D-series can do.

I would go with neptune over crome. The s300 is also very nice if you've looked into the hondata systems.

blacktrax just recently was added to the neptune authorized dealers/tuners.

if you look on the http://www.hrtuning.com website and look at the list of the dealers, most if not all are well known reputable tuners. to ME that says alot about the creator of neptune and that he has good taste in choosing the right person to tune neptune. and the neptune rtp is tunable by anyone, even the average joe if your willing to learn the software........

i haven't had any problems with Crome at all, but eventually one needs to upgrade

Seriously. You can get a car running pretty solid on Uberdata 1.2. Any of the current options are fine. They all come with their strengths and weaknesses. It's all about picking the one that has the most strengths that benefit you and the least amount of weaknesses that hurt you. Pretty basic pro/con list will work wonders.

3 bar to properly use the boost cut, bigger injectors, and i vote s300. NO CHIPS w00t!
