tuning ls
my friend just ordered a drag kit for his ls. since tuning is the key for a fi setup what tuning does he have to do to run 7 psi which is the stock setting on the wastegate on the drag kit. also if he wants to turn it up to 10 psi what tuning would he have to do. a lot of people say just use the fmu and inline fuel pump that come with the kit to run 7 psi and he will have no problems is this true.

Yeah but you're asking for trouble with 10 psi and the FMU - They don't like each other, and your genius friend'll get some holes in the pistons. 10 psi isn't a bright idea with the FMU and a fuel pump. Stick with 7 psi, that's as fast as you'll need to go. Read up on your options, everyone and their mom'll say Hondata, and that's good. At least get some ignition retard device if you stick with the FMU. Do it for me.

so 7 psi will be ok on the fmu and inline fuel pump. should i tell him to get some injectors or just let the fmu do it s job. also i told him if he leaves it at 7 psi he can still drive it everyday and still get over 100 000 miles on it. he only has 68 000 on it.

Re: tuning ls (redteg)
Maybe. Maybe it'll blow up next week. Stick with the setup, then invest in real management, like AEM EMS or Hondata. You can *probably* make the odo trip over the 100,000 mile mark, but don't expect *another* 100k miles. This is also dependant on how much it's abused, your cylinder's compression now, assuming no flaws with the motor, lots of praying...
