tuning... help
ok, I have a d16z6 engine with the td40h GReddy kit bolted on.
I have a FMU installed, all new drive belts, new timing belt, new front oil seals, new valve cover gasket, valves adjusted, new NGK copper plugs/accel wires.
No in line fuel pump, stock injectors.
All internals are stock.. 90k miles
I'm running max 5psi.
It's a daily driver.
Now, according to my A/F gauge, when its in boost, it shoots into rich (which is good)
When I'm cruising, it bounces between the rich line, and half way into lean.
Is that normal?
It runs great, and doesn't hesitate when I make her go..
Sound good to you guys? Is there any thing else I really should do only running 5psi?

Sounds good to me. When you are crusing there is no load on the motor so the ecu is always adjusting the fuel. So it will go from red to green. Perfectly normal.
When you put load on the car (floor it) its always good to be rich..

I quote DirtyLude:
Closed loop is functionality can be enabled on just about all the standalones that I've seen. Closed loop has nothing to do with rpm. Do you have an a/f gauge in your car now? When you're at steady state partial throttle (cruising on the highway) you can see the a/f cycle back and forth. This is closed loop operation. The ECU is checking the O2 sensor and continuesly correcting fuel back and forth, trying to maintain a 14.7:1 a/f ratio. 14.7 is stoich. This is the best a/f ratio for emmisions and it's good for fuel economy as well. When you hit the gas, you'll se the a/f gauge go full rich. The O2 sensor is too slow to react to full throttle driving and the ECU reverts to the open fuel maps.

say Guitarzann have ou had a chance to run at a track yet? D16 is that a EX or a DX? there is another D16 owner thinking about a B16 swap or a Greddy Turbo, I think he might appreciate your input.
