tunin the prelude
I just recently turbo charged my prelude and I know I need to tune it. Can I get it tuned w/ just the SAFC at the dyno, or do I need to get hondata or something like that. Thanks.

I have the vafc II with 550's on an H23AVTEC with 10 lbs of boost. Knowing what I know now if I were you save your money for an engine management system not a band aid. Spending money on a standalone engine management system will be cheaper than rebuilding your internals. I know this first hand. I will be getting the AEM system pretty soon. Good Luck

I have the msd 6btm, colder ngk plugs, 550's and the vafc. Use the safc tune it with a wideband and then later on get a standalone system and tune it with a wideband then look at your HP numbers. Reliability issues also come into play. To be able to control ignition, timing, and fuel all in one unit would be the best solution in the end. The safc will work but just be sure to have it tuned with a wideband.

Would a greddy emanage w/ an ignition harness work well? Or should I just go for the hondata w/ boost option. Thanks guys
