Default *FIXED* Troubleshooting: Boosted B18B. It has both an AFR & Engine Issue

Setup:
95 teg
B18b1
Upgraded fuel pump, injectors, aem rail, 40-60psi
4 bar map, skunk tb
Mac valve, chipped p06 ECU
moderate turbo setup running about 400hp, boost by gear, launch control, ect

So here is my issue car has always ran really good, car was being painted and sat for about a year, tranny got swapped in this time as well. Picked car up driving it home pushed in clutch to stop for stop sign about 5 minutes into the drive and it stalled out, the battery was dead from sitting for the year so bought a new one and it ran like garbage. Low idle, misfire in the tailpipe, bog and would shut off with any gas given. Found out old tps went bad. Put one in adjusted the voltage on it to .57 closed and 4.59 wot and unplugged the battery for about an hour and restarted. Well now it idles and responds to giving it gas but now its afr sits at 8 on idle and when I rev it it goes to 18+ and tries to stall out wont go over 3-4k just leans out and wants to cut off.

Unplug map sensor it shuts off, IAT shuts off, IACV shuts off. So those should be good right? Fuel pump primes nice and loud with ignition on, tried a new dizzy no luck so put the old one back on. Fuel pressure 40 at idle at the rail up to 60 when revving it. Seems good I would think. Brand new fuel filter and drained and refilled the gas tank AFTER the original stall issue bringing it home. Does anyone at all have any ideas as to what to look at next? I am stumped. Car ran amazing since bought and if anything a hair on the rich side when driving like 12 or so but never ever has had any issues like this before. Last owner said he chased issues that ended up being a bad ECT and had some symptoms like this but I don't remember how close they were to these. Anyway that could cause all this or not, I find it hard to believe an ECT would do all this, maybe bad 02 sensor? Running out of ideas here.

Make sure your injectors didn't gum up

I wish I knew but I had this issue when my Mustang sat for about a year with old gas in it.

10-4. I’m trying a new basemap chip incase mine went bad. Once that comes in if it doesn’t work I’ll be sending the injectors out to get cleaned and tested or a new set.

Get a S300 I bet you have an old S100.. and the map glitched. Get a S300 and you can have lots of free base maps to easily download and use.

Thats definitely the plan. If the basemap chip works I’ll be putting a new ecu with s300 in. I figured I’d try the cheap way first. I apparently don’t even have a hondata chip in it. It just is a generic sst so who even knows what tune is even on it. Really hoping that’s what it is so I have an excuse to upgrade to s300.

Update to anyone interested. Got a basemap chip and car wouldn’t even run. Put the old chip back in and tried a brand new SF 4bar map I had laying around and it runs like a champ now on my old chip. Guess the old map was going bad but still good enough for it to terribly idle. Definitely worried me why my basemap chip I ordered didn’t work. Gonna invest in a chip reader and make me some copies of mine incase anything like that ever were to happen.

Have you tried the new chip AFTER you replaced the MAP sensor ? If so, and it still ran like ****, it is likely that the wrong MAP sensor was selected before the chip was burned.

Yes I did. Would start up idle to 900 then stall out. I’m thinking the company may have scaled the map or injectors wrong. I have them the exact specs but there’s no telling.

This is one of the problems when you aren't burning your own chips... you never REALLY know what is on the chip that you ordered elsewhere.
