Default which transmission??

whats the best transmission to use in a 90 integra, with an ls/vtec turbo???

the majority of people i know/talk to (whether they use B18B, B18C or even B16A) use the GSR tranny for a turbo motor. the LS gears are normally too long, and the SI gearing is often too short for high boost setups that use certain size tires or slicks. but some use the SI tranny, it all depends on what setup they have and whether or not it's a street car or a track car.

EDIT: i forgot you mentioned it was for a 90 Integra. do they have the cable clutch system? i've never worked on them before. if it has the cable tranny then i guess you won't have as much of a selection compared to the newer hydro trannys. unless you get a conversion kit.

yea its a cable transmission, i guess the best one would be the gsr tranny from a 90-93, dont really wanna do a conversion, im thinkin about just doin an ls turbo and gettin rid of the head, thanks for the info........

WERD! they were only made in 92 and 93, so tracking one down that's in really good shape will be difficult...
