Best Tranny For My Setup
I have a JDM B16a Cable tranny now. 3rd grear is gone, and I'm looking for some type of replacement. This is a turbo car so I want the best gearing possible and really want a hydro transmission. (I hate the HASport conversion). So it's either fix this tranny (not the answer I'm looking for), LS tranny, Hydro B16, or Hydro GSR. Thanks for any and all help...

It has never felt right. I have been through at least 5 hyme joints trying to get the length correct. I used the 1st one and ended up welding it together cause it kept backing its self down. If you have any other suggestions on how to make this work better, I'm all open.. It will be a lot cheaper. Thanks

If you dont like the hasport kit, i dont think you have a choice. If you stayin cable, why not go with a JDM YS1 (GSR) cable trans? Grab one of those and stick a Quaiffe in it and your set.

YS1's are nice but they are getting harder to find probbaly find one for about 400 ish maybe a bit more
i suggest selling your conversion kit for 100-150ish and then putting that toward a GSR or B16 trans
GSR you can find for around 600

The cool thing is...A guy owes me a tranny...He has an LS right now...But will be getting some B16s and or GSRs in soon. Sorry I didnt mention this before. I just really hate to wait...Not having 3rd gear sucks *****...

what is your WHP?
do you drag auto X?
if you drag you want to hit the end of the 1/4 in the end of 4th gear if you are bellow 300WHP then I would go with the b16.
if you like to highway race then the LS.

Well I did a few searches...but I guess I searched for the wrong thing...I'm a dragracer. I havent been to the dyno yet...So I dont know any numbers. But I'm a lil skert of breaking stuff so I guess I'll be a highway car until I get over it.
