Re: trans gear ratios (speedworks)
if you have a helms manual, they have it listed in there. You can also try http://www.hondaswap.com

Re: trans gear ratios (VaporTrail)
thanks vapor trail. i was needing the gear ratios specs because i am having to shift my car into 5th gear way before the end of the quarter mile which is killing my et's. i'm going to get a trans from a 92-95 prelude s. the h22 is geared totally the wrong way for being turbocharged.

Re: trans gear ratios (speedworks)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Do not get that tranny. Here is a dyno run of a H22a showing you how wrong it is for drag racing. Note the slow shifting was due to the fact this was taken on on the dyno. I was the dyno operator here, at my facility http://www.h22a.org/BS/topspeed.wmv
Watch the speedometer in relation to speed. 110mph in 3rd, over 140mph in 4th, 180mph in 5th letting out 500rpm's before redline (b/c Kumho's aren't rated for that sort of speed). If you notice, the 4th gear on the 2.2 sohc trans is the same as 5th gear on a H22a. Finally, it is well known that the synchros on those trannies are FAR more fragile. What you might consider is a H23 tranny, or perhaps even a hybrid tranny using parts from the H22, 23 and sohc trans to make the perfect one for you. Or, the easier method is to keep the shortest geared trans, and get a taller slick

Re: trans gear ratios (VaporTrail)
i'm already running a 24.5/8/13 slick. not the tallest, but also not the shortest. the first two gear changes i get hardly any boost. from third out the car pulls hard. i will probably switch to the h23 trans and try that.
