Default Tranny install. Grease the spline inside the clutch disc?

Just need everyones opinion.

OEM manual states to grease the inner spline on the clutch disc and inner diameter of the throwout bearing.

I thought you wanted to keep the pressure plate and disc as far away from grease as possible.

What do you guys do?

Just use a light coating, you don't have to pack it in there.

-Grease the splines of the clutch.
-The release fork
-Release bearing
-Release fork bolt (the thing with the round head)
-The splines on the tranny

Edit: What kind of grease do you plan to use? The manual specifies Super High Temp Urea Grease PN 08798-9002.

What would the part store equivalant of that be? I've used high temp wheel bearing grease without issue in the past.

I just grease up the spline. Not super thick. but just a little more than a light coat so it will get the clutch disk.

i apply a little bit on the throw out bearing.
Generous amount on the release for Pivot ball

I used High temp Grease (Suspension components and Wheel bearings)

I'm still using the container of Pennzoil wheel bearing grease I bought back in the mid 70's. You just need a light coat.
